Just an ordinary girl in a complicated world, making my life less ordinary.
I’m addicted to life and it’s emotions and my passions. I am my only worst and best friend, so I’m taking advantage of myself and making me less ordinary.
Like the song: “Dock of the Bay“ by Ottis Redding. I remain the same with every wave that comes into my life. A great song that explains who I am in essence.
I love life to the max and I am addicted to anything that enhances my quality of life – be it emotional, physical or mental.
Passionate about everything that ignites my soul.
How writing became an addiction
I started writing thoughts, poetry, about my travels and life in general the old fashioned way, with pen and paper, 2 days before 9/11. My first writing book was a notebook with Salvador Dali’s “Melting clocks” on the cover. Thus my inspiration to use the picture on my blog. Every time I write, time is not a factor, clocks melt. I also like to think that I went into a store and bought me some time.
A bit more about me
Doing things differently just to make the mundane seem more interesting is what I’m known to do. I don’t want to stand out and be different to be noticed, I just want to keep things spiced up so I can stay in love with my life. Being positive and surrounding myself with positive people is a constant in my life. I have a brilliant little human being in my life that has opened my eyes to world and appreciate everything around me instead of taking it for granted. My 3 year old daughter’s name is Cameron Drew. My nickname for her is Cameroni Macaroni. She holds such a special place in my heart not because she is my daughter, but because she is a free spirit with a personality and sense of humour that outshines many people my age.
My music addiction
My first boyfriend introduced me to the world that is music in 1994. A day without music is like a day without sunshine, food and water. I have a music collection that I’m very proud of which consists of all genres, from classical to dance to pop to rock to indie to metal. Why stick with one genre and limit your emotions from experience the ecstasy that is music. Every musician puts their heart and soul into their music and that piece of soul that is in their music finds a new home in my heart and life.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.
Hope I can get you addicted too.

ohhh, love the photo of you in the London Phone Booth! Classic.
Apologies for late reply. Thank you so much. I love London and the way they still embrace their heritage no matter how many exPats live there vs real Londoners.
I love what you wrote of music – why stick with one genre? I love them all (with a very few exceptions, I guess).
Great design for the blog, by the way.
Hello
I apologise for my late reply. Life caught up with me. But listened to a lot of music during that time. I love all music. I have a very large collection and listen to all of it as often as I can, music of every genre. For this post particularly, I was listening to those songs and they inspired me to write thus gave them credit.
Have a great day
Dez
